This specimen was lot 23307 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2019), where it sold for $408. The catalog description[1] noted, "MOROCCO. 250 Dinars, AH 1397 (1977). NGC PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. Mintage of only 800 pieces. Struck in celebration of King Hassan's birthday. Brilliant with hard mirror fields and frosted cameo devices." This NCLT was struck 1975-78 using the module of the old French twenty francs d'or.
Recorded mintage: 3,000 + 800 proofs.
