This specimen was lot 3808 in Sincona sale 9 (Zürich, October 2012), where it sold for 750 CHF (about US$949 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DEUTSCHLAND Montfort, Grafschaft Hugo und Johann, 1619-1625. Taler 1621, Langenargen. Titel Ferdinands II. Sehr schön-fast vorzüglich. (County of Montfort, Hugo and John, 1619-25, thaler of 1621, in the name of Ferdinand II. Very fine to extremely fine.)"
Montfort is an extremely obscure locality on the shore of Lake Constance in Wurttemberg. We have filed it under Austria as the counts sold out to the Austrian emperor in 1780.
