This specimen was lot 40591 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Oklahoma City, OK, August 2025), where it sold for $1,320. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Trade Tokens. Middlesex. Spence's Copper Farthing Token, 1793. PCGS MS-65 Red Brown. Edge: Plain. Obverse: Man hanging on gibbet, church in background, END OF PAIN around; Reverse: Open book, THE WRONGS OF MAN above. A SCARCE issue from the popular 'End of Pain' series, and in enticing Gem preservation, with ample red copper color remaining. From the Richard August Collection."
