This specimen was lot 39388 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $2,160. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Gold 1/2 Onza, 2015-Mo. Mexico City Mint. PCGS PROOF-70 Deep Cameo." The half ounce gold Libertad was introduced in 1982. This type is listed for 2000-23. Most dates, like this one, have very low mintages.
Recorded mintage: 1,100 plus 500 proofs.
Specification: 15.55 g, 0.999 fine gold, 29 mm diameter, reeded edge.
