This specimen is one of a type issued 2009-19 as part of the reform of the Mexican peso. It replaced a larger version (KM 547) of 1992-2009. When it was introduced, one dollar was about three pesos; today (September 2025), US$1 = 18.4 pesos.
Recorded mintage: 343,772,000 plus 90,968,000 of KM 547.
Specification: 1.75 g, stainless steel, 14 mm diameter, plain edge with a circumferential groove.
