This specimen was lot 73258 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2025), where it sold for $780. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MEXICO. 5 Onza (Ounces), 1997-Mo. Mexico (Potosi) Mint. NGC PROOF-67 Ultra Cameo. Tied for third finest certified of the date with one other example, 16 finer (PF-68 Ultra Cameo [10] and PF-69 Ultra Cameo [6])." This type was struck in small numbers 1996-2024. The mintage shown here is typical.
