This specimen was lot 21950 in Heritage sale 3005 (Long Beach, February 2009). All Mexican colonial gold may be considered scarce. This type, the second showing the "rat nose" bust of Charles III, was struck 1762-71 only. Despite the extended years of production, it is very scarce.

Specification: 3.38 g, 0.917 fine gold, .100 troy oz AGW. This specimen: 3.35 grams, 17.60 mm diameter.
