This specimen was lot 317 in Sedwick Treasure Auction 26 (Winter Park, FL, November 2019), where it sold for $386.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "Mexico City, Mexico, cob 8 reales, 1703L, rare. Full date and oML, most of shield, well-centered cross, toned Fine (low contrast). Pedigreed to the Ponterio auction of February 1993, with original lot-tag #1552. Auction lot-tag personally signed by John Pullin. The John Pullin Collection of Dated Mexican Cobs." The silver cobs were debased from 0.931 fine to 0.917 fine in 1728.
