This specimen was lot 72285 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2024), where it sold for $1,080. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Cob 2 Reales, 1610-Mo F. Mexico City Mint. Philip III. PCGS Genuine--Tooled, VF Details. Moderately struck and dark-toned Cob. Mintmark and three digits of the peripheral date are clear, assayer vague. From the S.P. Rutherford Collection." The SCWC mentions this type for 1607-21 and notes 1610-14 with assayer "F". Few of these early cobs have legible dates.
