This specimen was lot 32885 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $216. The catalog description[1] noted, "Mecklenburg-Schwerin. Friedrich Franz II Proof 3 Pfennig 1864-A PR65 Red and Brown NGC, Berlin mint. A choice Gem from this slightly scarcer of the pre-Unification German States, replete with chi[s]eled, medallic detail." This type struck was 1852-64 and is common, Other issues for 1864 included a 1/48 thaler (KM 311) and a thaler (KM A310).
