This specimen was lot 1663 in Stephen Album sale 30 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2018), where it sold for $223.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "MAURITIUS: Victoria, 1952-1968, AE 5 cents, 1960, VIP proof of record, almost entirely red, virtually no brown, NGC graded PF64 RB." This type was struck 1956-78 in moderate quantities tho no date is rare. Proofs are scarce. The portrait is of Elizabeth II, not Victoria as stated in the catalog description.
Recorded mintage: 600,000 plus proofs.
