Mali 1967 100 francs

from the Stack's Bowers 2017 Collector's Choice sale, lot 72542

This specimen was lot 72542 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Santa Ana, CA, May 2017), where it did not sell. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MALI. 100 Francs, 1967. NGC PROOF-65 ULTRA CAMEO. Hard mirror fields with frosted cameo devices." The region was formerly French Sudan. This coin honoring president Modibo Keita (1915-77) was accompanied by a gold ten, twenty-five and fifty francs.

Recorded mintage: unknown but few.
