This specimen was lot 1688 in Stephen Album sale 41 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2021), where it sold for $228. The catalog description[1] noted, "MALI: AV 10 francs, [1967], bust of President Mobido Keita, commemorating the country's independence, undated, NGC graded PF64 UC." The region was formerly French Sudan. Modibo Keïta (1915-77) was the first President of Mali (1960–1968) and the Prime Minister of the Mali Federation.
