This specimen was lot 2741 in Stephen Album sale 41 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2021), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "MALAYSIA: AV 250 ringgit, 1976, 25th Anniversary of Employees Provident Fund, mintage of only 7,706 pieces, in original Franklin Mint case of issue with COA, Proof, S." This NCLT is a relic of the Franklin Mint's foray into contract minting. It is the first issue of this denomination.
