Steve Album Auction 53, lot 4234

This specimen was lot 4234 in Steve Album Auction 53 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $85. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MACAO: Portuguese Colony, AR 100 patacas, 1981, Year of the Rooster, a few wispy hairlines on reverse, Proof." This NCLT was accompanied by a gold 1,000 patacas (KM 19). Numista states that it was struck by the now-closed Pobjoy mint in Surrey.

Recorded mintage: 1,000 plus 1,000 proofs.

Specification: 28.28 g, 0.925 fine silver, 38.6 mm diameter.
