Luzern 1815 2-1/2 batzen KM-110
This specimen was lot 5389 in Sincona Auction 102 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 275 CHF (about US$415 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ. Luzern. Stadt und Kanton. 2 1/2 Batzen 1815, Luzern. Variante mit CANTON. Schräg gerippter Rand. FDC. Exemplar der Auktion SINCONA 64, Zürich, Juni 2020, Los 3429. (Switzerland, canton of Luzern, 2½ batzen of 1815, Luzern mint, variety with "CANTON", obliquely reeded edge. Mint State.)"
Production of this type was shared with KM 111, with the obverse legend "RESPUBLICA LUCERNENSIS". One thaler was forty batzen or sixteen of these coins.
Recorded mintage: unknown but more common than KM 111.
Specification: 2.0 g, 0.900 fine silver, 20.5 mm diameter, reeded edge, this specimen 2.15 g.
