This specimen was part of lot 5333 in Sincona Auction 102 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 70 CHF (about US$106 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ. Luzern. Stadt und Kanton. Groschen 1604, 1606, Luzern. Lot von 2 Stück. Sehr schön. (Switzerland, canton of Luzern, groschen of 1604 and 1606, Luzern mint. Very Fine, two pieces.)"
This type was struck in numerous varieties 1598-1606. One thaler was 24 groschen or 72 kreuzer.
