Künker sale 335, lot 4020

This specimen was lot 4020 in Künker sale 335 (Osnabrück, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €240 (about US$314 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"LÜBECK, STADT. 1/2 Reichstaler (16 Schilling) 1576, mit Titel Maximilians II. und dem Abzeichen des Bürgermeisters Hieronymus Lüneburg. R Winz. Schrötlingsfehler am Rand, sehr schön. (Germany, city of Lubeck, half thaler of 1576, in the name of Maximilian II and the badge of mayor Jerome Luneburg. Scarce, minor rim nick, very fine.)"
