This specimen was lot 1182 in Stephen Album sale 32 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2018), where it sold for $141. The catalog description[1] noted, "LöWENSTEIN-WERTHEIM-ROCHEFORT: AR kreuzer, 1799, PCGS graded MS64, ex Don Erickson Collection." This type is listed in the SCWC for 1801-06. The prince of this insignificant German state, Dominik Constantin, found his territory mediatized in 1806 and partitioned between Baden and Bavaria.
