This specimen was lot 34243 in Heritage sale 3076 (Long Beach, CA, September 2019), where it sold for $528. The catalog description[1] noted, "Italy: Livorno. Cosimo III de' Medici Pezza Della Rosa 1684 AU Details (Scratches) NGC. A rare type which, save for the noted scratches, suggests long-time careful storage, soft graphite surfaces met with a ring of colorful tones towards the edges, while the group of roses contains thick patches of die polish lines." This type was struck by the Medici Grand Duke of Tuscany for Livorno 1684, 1697-1718 and is rather expensive.
