This specimen was lot 24737 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2018), where it sold for $336. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. Livonia & Estonia. 24 Kopek, 1757. Elizabeth I (1741-61). PCGS VF-35 Secure Holder. Toned." This coin was issued by the tsarina for the recently occupied province of Livonia, now part of Latvia. The region was conquered from pagan tribes by the Teutonic Knights and after their collapse, traded among Poland, Sweden and Russia, which held it 1721-1918. This denomination was accompanied by two, four, 96 and 48 kopeks and was minted in Moscow.
