Louis de Bourbon was imposed upon the inhabitants of Liège by his uncle, the duke of Burgundy. He so exasperated his subjects that they expelled him three times. One of the grievances was his inveterate habit of uttering debased coin. This florin d'or postulat was supposed to pass for a ducat but had only two-thirds the weight.
Reported Mintage: unknown.
Specification: gold, this specimen 2,27 g.
