Liberia 2000 5 cents

This specimen is from a type issued for Liberia in 2000. Many Liberian coins were not struck for circulation, being issued only in proof sets. In the last twenty years, Liberia has fallen into the clutches of the private minters, who have issued such Liberian themed commemoratives as Star Trek (KM 128), Babe Ruth (KM 131) and Princess Diana (KM 464).
