This specimen was lot 57491 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2024), where it sold for $504. The catalog description[1] noted, "LESOTHO. 2 Maloti, 1966. Moshoeshoe II. NGC PROOF-67★." This coin matches the weight of a British gold sovereign. The other coins in the series included four maloti and one loti in gold and fifty, twenty, ten and five licente in silver. Lesotho is entirely surrounded by the Republic of South Africa.
