Kansu (Gansu) Province is an elongate territory that straddles north-central China, at the west end of the Great Wall. Two mints issued coins in the province.

The specimen shown was lot 60252 in Ponterio sale 162 (Hong Kong, August 2011), where it sold for $239. The catalog description[1] noted, “CHINA. Kansu. 5 Cash Pattern, ND (ca. 1928). 甘肅輔幣孔造五文. EXTREMELY FINE. Ex: The Frank Robinson Collection.”
