Kansu (Gansu) Province is an elongate territory that straddles north-central China, at the west end of the Great Wall. Two mints issued coins in the province.
The specimen shown was lot 60248 in Ponterio sale 162 (Hong Kong, August 2011), where it sold for $418. The catalog description[1] noted, “CHINA. Kansu. 50 Cash, CD (1926). 民國十五年甘肅銅幣當制錢五十文. NGC VF-35 BN. Ex: The Frank Robinson Collection.”
