Stephen Album sale 50, lot 3847

This specimen was lot 3847 in Stephen Album sale 50 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2024), where it did not sell. The catalog description^[1] noted, "JORDAN: Abdullah II, 1999-, 5 dinars, 2000/AH1420, Christian Millennium and Baptism of Jesus, proof like finish, Brilliant UNC." This NCLT, featuring the baptism of Jesus, has a strongly Christian theme, unusual for a country which is 95% Muslim. A gold fifty dinars (KM 82) and silver ten dinars (KM 72) were also struck with this design.

Recorded mintage: 10,000 proofs.
