This specimen was lot 3846 in Stephen Album sale 50 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2024), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "JORDAN: Abdullah II, 1999-, AR 10 dinars, 2000/AH1420, Christian Millennium and Baptism of Jesus, antiqued matte finish, Brilliant UNC." This NCLT, featuring the baptism of Jesus, has a strongly Christian theme, unusual for a country which is 95% Muslim. A gold fifty dinars (KM 82) and brass five dinars (KM 71) were also struck with this design.
Recorded mintage: 5,000 with a matte finish plus more struck in proof.
Specification: 31 g, 0.999 fine silver, 40 mm diameter.
