This specimen was lot 297 in Sincona sale 63 (Zürich, June 2020), where it sold for 3,000 CHF (about US$3,759 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DEUTSCHLAND | Jever, Herrschaft, Maria, 1536-1575. Taler 1561, Jever. Selten. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. Überdurchschnittliche Erhaltung. (Germany, lordship of Jever, Maria, 1536-75, thaler of 1561, Jever mint. Rare, Very fine-extremely fine, Extraordinary condition.)"
This issue is nicknamed the "Danielsthaler" as it depicts Daniel in the lions' den. Dav-9338, -A9339 and -9340 have the same nickname.
