Iran AH 1318 100 dinars KM-962
This specimen was lot 1131 in Sincona sale 85 (Zürich, October 2023), where it sold for 120 CHF (about US$162 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"IRAN, Muzaffar al-Din Shah, 1313-1324 AH (1896-1907). 100 Dinars 1318 AH (1900/1901 AD), Tehran Mint. Copper-Nickel. NGC MS64. From the Kian collection, auction SINCONA 49, October 2018, lot 152."
This one year type has a modest catalog value. It accompanied a copper-nickel fifty dinars (KM 961), silver shahi (KM 965), quarter kran (KM 968), 500 dinars (KM 969), 1000 dinars (KM 972) and 2000 dinars (KM 974). This sale also contained a silver 100 dinars, the only known specimen and unlisted, which may actually be an off-metal strike or mint sport.
