This specimen was lot 1330 in Stephen Album sale 38 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2020), where it sold for $261.80. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRAN: Nasir al-Din Shah, 1848-1896, AE 100 dinars, Tehran, a lovely well-struck example with plenty of original mint luster! PCGS graded MS63 BN." The SCWC notes this type as struck AH 1297-1313 and undated. The undated issue is attributed to AH 1297 by PCGS and to 1897 by the SCWC.
