This specimen was lot 22578 in Stack's Bowers ANA Auction (Denver, CO, August 2017), where it sold for $199.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRAN. 5,000 Dinars, AH 1320 (1902). NGC MS-64. Radiant lion holding sword within crowned wreath. Sharply struck with attractive toning and strong underlying luster." The SCWC lists this scarce type for AH 1320 only. The SCWC states that the mintage was underreported as KM 976 is much more common than KM 980 (AH 1322), KM 981 (AH1324) and KM 1018 (AH1327). One thousand dinars made a kran and ten kran made a toman. The largest silver coin was the five krans.
