This specimen was lot 2867 in Sincona Auction 101 (Zürich, October 2025), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"IRAN Qajar Dynasty, Nasir al-Din Shah, 1264-1313 AH (1848-1896). Pattern 2000 Dinars 1281 AH (1864/1865), Tehran Mint. Struck in bronze. Very rare. NGC MS63 BN."
Catalog numbers KM Pn2 thru Pn12 cover the patterns struck this year, ranging from 25 dinars to two toman. The regime had these made in preparation for the transition to milled coinage, which did not occur until AH 1294.
