This specimen was lot 949 in Stephen Album sale 43 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2022), where it sold for $288. The catalog description[1] noted, "BRITISH INDIA: George V, 1910-1936, AR ¼ rupee, 1930(c), a fantastic lustrous example! PCGS graded MS66." The quarter rupee was struck for George V 1912-36 at Calcutta and Bombay. It is about the size of a dime but had 12¢ worth of silver. This is a common date.
Recorded mintage: 3,222,000 plus proofs and restrikes.
Specification: 2.92 g, 0.917 fine silver, 0.086 troy oz ASW.
