This specimen was lot 22556 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Anaheim, CA, August 2016), where it sold for $211.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "INDIA. Hyderabad. Rupee, AH 1318//34. NGC MS-63. Struck in an unusual 0.8180 fine silver alloy. Lightly toned and quite appealing, especially for the assigned grade." This type, the first milled rupee for the state, was issued AH 1312-1318 (1894-1900) for Mir Mahbub Ali Khan II, ruler 1869-1911. It is accompanied by a four annas, eight annas and a gold ashrafi.
