This specimen was lot 38580 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $456. The catalog description[1] noted, "INDIA. Hyderabad. 1/4 Mohur, AH 1283 (1866). Hyderabad Mint. Afzal ad-Daula. NGC MS-65." The Indian princely state of Hyderabad was one of the few large enough and wealthy enough to mint an extensive series of gold coins. This is an unlisted date of a type listed for AH 1281 only.
