Hungary 1910-KB 2 filler
This specimen was lot 45057 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Costa Mesa, CA, August 2021), where it sold for $30. The catalog description[1] noted, "HUNGARY. 2 Filler, 1910-KB. Kremnitz Mint. PCGS MS-63 Red Brown Gold Shield. A boldly struck and lustrous coin with dark brick red color." This type was struck 1892-1915 in large quantities and this is a fairly common date. The denomination was struck in iron 1916-18 because of wartime shortages. The Magyar aristocracy in 1867 forced the Hapsburgs to devolve power to them but they saw no reason why they should share their new power with the majority Slavs (Croats, Slovaks, Ruthenians, etc.).
