This specimen was lot 1377 in Jean Elsen sale 121 (Brussels, June 2014), where it sold for €90 (about US$144 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"HONGRIE, François Joseph Ier (1848-1916), AR 5 korona, 1907 KB, 40e anniversaire du couronnement. Fleur de Coin. (Hungary, Francis Joseph (1848-1916), silver five corona of 1907, on the fortieth anniversary of the coronation. Uncirculated.)"
This type was issued for Hungary in 1907 from the Kremnitz (Komoczbanya in Magyar) mint during the reign of Emperor Francis Joseph of Austria-Hungary. After the reorganization of the Hapsburg empire into the Dual Monarchy in 1867, Hungary received her own coinage separate from Austrian issues. In the aftermath of World War One, the Hapsburg monarchy collapsed and Hungary became independent but without its former territories in Slovakia, Transylvania and Croatia.
