This specimen was lot 75326 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2024), where it sold for $780. The catalog description[1] noted, "HUNGARY. Ducat, 1742-KB. Kremnica Mint. Maria Theresa. PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, AU Details. Despite the noted cleaning, and appealing and alluring example of this seldom encountered type. From the Barbaro Acres Collection." This ducat was minted without change 1741-45 in sufficient numbers to be considered common. The obverse was modified in 1746 to include her title as empress of Germany.
