Sincona sale 39, lot 3996

This specimen was lot 3996 in Sincona sale 39 (Zürich, May 2017), where it sold for 100 CHF (about US$120 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA, Karl VI. 1711-1740 Halbtaler 1722. Kremnitz. Sehr schön. (Holy Roman Empire, Charles VI, 1711-40, half thaler of 1722, Kremnitz mint. Very fine.)"

This type was struck 1719-32. Despite the tiny reported mintage, it is listed as common.

Recorded mintage: 1,204.

Specification: 14.41 g, 0.875 fine silver; this specimen is 14.26 g.
