This specimen was lot 1490 in Goldberg Sale 137 (Los Angeles, January 2024), where it sold for $528. The catalog description[1] noted, "Hungary. 15 Kreuzer, 1687-KB. Leopold I. Laureate bust right. Full mint luster. NGC graded MS-64." This type is listed for 1685-90 and is common. At the time, 60 krajczar = 1 forint, 2 forint = 1 thaler; 15 krajczar = 1/8 thaler. It was during this period that the Turks were expelled from Hungary by the Hapsburgs.
