Sincona sale 18, lot 3966

This specimen was lot 3966 in Sincona sale 18 (Zürich, May 2014), where it sold for CHF 1,300 (about US$1,713 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Dukat 1686. Kremnitz. Vorzüglich. (Hungary, ducat of 1686, Kremnitz mint, extremely fine.)"

This type is noted in the SCWC for 1658-1704.

Specification: 3.48 grams, 0.986 fine gold, 22.9 mm diameter, this specimen 3.49 g.
