Steve Album sale 54, lot 2754

This specimen was lot 2754 in Steve Album Auction 54 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2026), where it sold for $120. The catalog description[1] noted, "HUNGARY: Leopold I, 1657-1705, AR 15 krajczar, Kremnitz, 1664-KB, nice light reverse tone, XF." This type was struck at the Kremnitz mint in Slovakia 1661-67 and 1674-86. Other fifteen kreuzer were struck at Vienna (KM 1170, 1198), Graz (KM 1186), Hall (KM 1219), St. Veit (KM 1211), Prague (KM 494) and Breslau (KM 414). Fifteen kreuzer was one quarter forint or gulden or one-sixth of a thaler.

Recorded mintage: unknown but common.

Specification: 6.25 g, silver, 30-31 mm diameter, this specimen 6.34 g.
