This specimen was lot 386 in Schulman auction 379 (Amsterdam, June 2024), where it sold for €1,900 (about US$2,442 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "Hungary - Thaler 1614, Silver, MATTHIAS II 1608-1619 Kormocbánya mint. Bust to right. Rev. crowned double headed eagle. R. Heavily burnished fields, nicely toned. Very fine +/Almost extremely fine." This type was struck 1613-17 and is rather expensive. Hungary in 1614 was partitioned between the Austrians and the Turks and was not part of the Empire.
