Hungary 1601-NB thaler Dav-3014
This specimen was lot 3056 in Künker Auction 426 (Osnabrück, July 2025), where it sold for €825 (about US$1,168 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"HABSBURGISCHE ERBLANDE-ÖSTERREICH · RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Rudolf II., 1576-1612. Reichstaler 1601 NB, Nagybánya. RR Kl. Zainende, Schrötlingsfehler, sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Holy Roman Empire, Rudolf II, 1576-1612, thaler of 1601, Nagybánya mint. Very rare, lightly clipped, obverse planchet defect, very fine to extremely fine.)"
THis type is listed for 1601-04. The Kremnitz mint also issued thalers in 1601 (Dav-3013).
