This type was struck at the Heaton Mint 1955-1968 and this date is listed as common in all grades. This module and alloy was introduced in 1948 and used until 1982, when the denomination was reduced to 2 grams. British coinage for Hong Kong ceased in 1997 when the island was returned to China. The bust of Queen Elizabeth II appears on the obverse.
