This specimen was lot 2964 in Stephen Album sale 38 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2020), where it sold for $261.80. The catalog description[1] noted, "HONG KONG: Edward VII, 1901-1910, AR 5 cents, 1904, lovely example with a fantastic grade, NGC graded MS67." This type was struck at the Royal Mint 1902-05 and this date is listed as common in all grades. No five cent pieces were struck between 1905 and 1932, suggesting a substantial oversupply. British coinage for Hong Kong ceased in 1997 when the island was returned to China.
