This specimen was lot 57042 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2024), where it sold for $1,800. The catalog description[1] noted, "HONDURAS. Centavo Mule, 1895. PCGS G-6. Mule using obverse die of 1871 10 Centavos (KM-35) with re-engraved date." The SCWC states 8-12 are known to exist of this mule with an altered date ten centavos die. Completely starved of resources, the mint eked out its scanty supply of dies by reusing old dies long past their point of scrapping.
