The specimen shown is one of a type struck in Honduras 1890-95. Other types (KM 46 and KM 59) were struck before and during this type. Most show evidence of the primitive conditions in which they were made. The dies for this specimen were recycled from striking ten centavos coins (KM 49) and crudely recut.
