This specimen was lot 1867 in Classical Numismatic Group's auction of the Richard Lissner collection (Chicago, August 2014), where it sold for $3,025. The catalog description[1] noted, "HONDURAS, Republic. 1840-pres. AR Peso. Tegucicalpa mint. Dated 1894/2. In NGC encapsulation graded MS 64. Superb choice BU with just a hint of patina. Another amazing peso from the Lissner collection. Only five coins have been graded MS 64 for the entire long series of these pesos. Purchased from George Vogt, February 1972."
